Martha Wilson Lecture
Last night at the UMFA, I got to attend a guest lecture by Martha Wilson, a feminist performance artist who works with playing roles of identity to question society.
Here she is as "The Working Girl" and the "Goddess".
There were some other works she did in which she purposefully made herself look at her best, or from her most attractive side, and then with lighting and makeup she accentuated her "worst" features to become her least attractive self.
Here she is as "The Working Girl" and the "Goddess".

Mary Sinner, 48x60" Oil on Canvas
Here is my latest painting, a portrait of Mary Sinner. This is her in front of an installation she had up in the Alvins Gittins Gallery. Included on the wall is a painting she did on the upper right side of the canvas and two color studies I painted on the side table.
