Here is the grasaille after 12 hours. The first 6 was the drawing in graphite with an HB pencil, then a transfer with raw umber, and finally the grasaille with a mixture of burnt sienna and ultramarine. You can see the transfer show through in areas where the lay-in in was put down more thinly. I'm really excited about this one and next Saturday will be fun to start adding color.
